Hardhome is named among the northern destinations visited by Corlys Velaryon during his voyages aboard the Ice Wolf. Its brief appearance places it within the far-reaching maritime itinerary of the future Sea Snake, rather than describing the settlement itself.

Place in Corlys Velaryon’s Voyages

On a voyage north, Corlys sailed the Ice Wolf to Braavos, Eastwatch, and Hardhome before turning into the Shivering Sea toward Lorath and the Port of Ibben. Hardhome is thus one point in a route that carried him from northern Westeros into colder waters, reflecting the expanding reach of his journeys.
